A&futura SE200Two hearts one mind
- World's First Multi-DAC DAP
- Independent AMP Sections Designed to Match DAC Characteristic
- Playback information reflected in light
- Customize your sound by choosing from a variety of DAC filters
- New ceramic rear cover
The SE200 is the second model from the Astell&Kern A&futura premium line of Digital Audio Players. The SE200 is equipped with the world's first Multi DAC, it also offers an independent AMP structure designed to compliment each DAC's characteristics.
The SE200 features the latest audiophile DACs from ESS, the ES9068AS in a Dual DAC configuration. We then added a single AK4499EQ, AKM's flagship DAC that is used in our flagship SP2000. Combining the three DACs, we have produced the world's first multi-DAC DAP. This pairing exhibits the philosophy of the A&futura line to pursue fundamentally different sound than found in typical DAPs. To properly implement multiple DACs, we needed to spend twice the amount of time on development and double the amount of time in properly tuning the player.
The SE200 maintains a similar design identity to the SE100 which combines trapezoidal straight lines and curves. These curves are the result of ultra-precision metal processing that has been perfected by Astell&Kern. After experimenting with different materials for the rear of the SE200, we created a new ceramic rear cover, instead of the glass found on the previous generation SE100.
This material not only improves wireless network performance, but produces a more premium feel to the player. New manufacturing techniques were developed to precisely mould the high-gloss ceramic cover involving seven separate processes. A low-speed processing method is used to prevent cracking and produce a durable backing. The results are a rear cover that is not just beautiful, but functional.
The aluminium body on the S200 provides maximum sound quality, while suppressing noise as much as possible. The use of laser ground extension technology gives you the best sound possible, without interference or distortion. The vibration-free processing machines used by Astell&Kern are the same ones used by expensive Swiss luxury watch manufacturers. This is reflected in the crafting of the volume wheel which is processed precisely like the crown of a luxury watch for the best operating feel. The SE200 goes beyond selecting the best DAC for type of music you are listening to.
You can now further customize your sound by choosing from a variety of DAC filters provided by the DAC manufacturer.
With the SE200, you can now choose your own preferred sound profile.
Multiple DACs let you define your sound
With AKM’s AK4499EQ DAC (as featured in our flagship SP2000 player) and the ESS ES9068ES DAC in dual configuration on board, optimised by different amplifier circuitry, the SE200 sound is yours to define. Twice the development and twice the tuning has resulted in twice the digital audio player.
Alter the shape of your music
The SE200 includes bespoke DAC filters provided by AKM and ESS. So no matter the sort of music you’re in the mood to listen to, you can adjust its sonic characteristics until it’s exactly what you want to hear. The sound of your SE200 is yours and yours alone.
Balanced and unbalanced outputs
With fully independent 2.5mm balanced and 3.5mm unbalanced outputs for each DAC/amplifier section, the SE200 is ready to drive your favourite headphones no matter how demanding they might be. This flexibility of engineering can only be found on Astell&Kern digital audio players.
Feat of memory
Offline listening is a crucial part of any digital audio player’s functionality. So the SE200 is fitted with a big 256GB of internal memory - that’s enough to store around 500 albums in CD-quality, ready for you to listen to no matter where you are.
We’ve combined aluminium with ceramic and glass to create a digital audio player that looks and feels very nearly as good as it sounds. If industrial design can ever be thought of in terms of ‘art’, then the SE200 is assuredly a work of art.

Order and Delivery Information
Thank you for considering Yorkshire AV for your next investment in your AV setup.
We are an approved retailer for all brands sold on our website, which means full manufacturers warranty and support as well as detailed product knowledge within our small business.
We use an inventory tracking system which states if item(s) are in stock and if not, what are the likely lead times.
Who do you use for delivery?
Our primary delivery agent is DPD. Where orders are shipped directly from Yorkshire AV, we always use DPD who offer a fabulous service at competitive rates.
If we drop ship (i.e. direct from the supplier) then the delivery agent is out of our control. It is generally DPD or UPS however - we rarely see other carriers used.
Selecting "Next Day" delivery does not mean you'll receive your item the next day in some cases. It's the next day from when the item(s) are in stock with us. If there is an urgent need then please contact a member of staff via the Live Chat or telephone (01757 826111) to check on live stock levels.
Certain product(s) are delayed in manufacturing due to semi-conductor shortages across the Globe. We'll keep you informed as to your order progress and a likely ETA once we get updates from the manufacturers.
When will orders be dispatched?
- Orders placed Tuesday - Thursday before 1pm and are in stock will be dispatched the same day for next day delivery. This relates to product that state 'In Stock for immediate dispatch' on the product page.
- Orders placed over a weekend and are in stock will be dispatched on Monday.
Orders for items not in stock
Given the vast amount of variations of each product (e.g. AudioQuest cables) or Pro-Ject Audio Turntables - we keep the most common options in stock (i.e. gloss black finish, or 1.5m RCA cables) whereas longer cables or cables with terminations that are less frequently ordered will be ordered as required.
Generally speaking - we receive orders within 2-3 days for UK suppliers and 3-4 days for European suppliers (i.e. AudioQuest, DALI).
We want you to be 100% satisfied which is why we'll give you an email/call if item(s) aren't in stock and give you the option of changing the order, cancelling or if you're happy to wait a few days, we'll get it out as soon as possible.
If an item states 'Available to Order (not in stock). Lead times apply' - this means the item is not in stock but we are able to order in. Lead times average 2 days but in some circumstances, delivery times may be longer and is outside of our control. Please contact us to get an estimate on delivery times if orders are urgent.
AudioQuest - 7-10 days average for shipping of standard products, custom products are 14-21 days.
HiFi Racks - 4-6 weeks average for shipping.
