Science for sound
For the purest, most natural sound, Q Acoustics applied science and innovative engineering. Featuring HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) technology, distortion is reduced to a minimum. Larger speaker cabinets tend to build up pressure in specific areas, causing resonance and cabinet distortion. By equalising the pressure around the cabinet, the pressure is reduced, giving a less distorted sound.

Triple-layer cabinet for the purest sound
The cabinet is constructed from three separate layers, damped by Gelcore non-setting gel. This reduces cabinet distortion to an absolute minimum, letting your hear the sound exactly as the artist intended.

Life-like sound through superior soundstaging
To deliver a life-like sound, Q Acoustics has concentrated on giving the Concept 500 an expansive soundstage with broad width and depth of sound. By using a rigid, narrow cabinet, precise crossover and high performance drive units, they’ve achieved just that. Sit back, close your eyes and you could be there.

Powerful bass response
Using twin, long-throw woofers, the Concept 500 has powerful bass to match much larger speaker units. Ultra-wide voice coils increase the performance of these compact woofers, meaning they can punch much harder than most units of this size. The large capacity bass port effortlessly releases pressure build-up inside the cabinet, making these speakers not just powerful-sounding but also easy for lower powered amps to drive.

Sweet top end
At the other end of the frequency response, mechanically decoupled tweeters give a smooth yet detailed treble response. Mechanical decoupling effectively isolates the tweeter from vibrations, letting the full clarity from the top end shine out. If a pin drops on the recording, you’ll hear it.

Choose your luxury finish
As standard, the Concept 500 comes with a choice of gloss black or gloss white finishes. For an even more luxurious finish, the gloss finish can be complemented by a choice of light oak (with the white finish) or rosewood (with black). Whichever finish you choose, the cast aluminium plinth not only offers a stable support but also an elegant styling feature.

Items are posted Tuesday - Friday with DPD or other couriers (based on the item size/weight). Certain items are shipped as freight if over 30kg and may take 2-3 days to be delivered. Please contact us to confirm stock availability and shipping leadtimes.

Our cut-off for same day dispatch of in-stock products is 1pm. Collection in store may be available if stock isn't in our central warehouse.

Returns

Our returns policy lasts for 28 days for all items in our store except those defined in section (1) below.

To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused/unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

If you return the item to us within 14 days of purchasing, you will be offered a full refund or exchange. If your return comes to us after 14 days of purchasing and is opened, we will refund the full amount less 20%. Unused items returned up to 28 days after purchasing will be fully refunded.

You must ensure goods are shipped in their original packaging if they are damaged/not working. Manufacturers will not accept returns and Yorkshire AV can not be held responsible for any damage in transit.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Those that are bespoke items or those that we've had to request in for you.
