An AES/EBU cable, also known as AES3 or AES/EBU digital audio cable, is a type of professional audio cable used for transmitting balanced digital audio signals. AES stands for "Audio Engineering Society," while EBU stands for the "European Broadcasting Union."
This standard was jointly developed by these organizations and is commonly used in the professional audio and broadcast industries but has been widely adopted as a standard in high-end digital transmission within HiFi environments, typically between a DAC and a digital source.
