Enter the SA Silverback 1 - which incredibly are the size of a sheet of A4 paper when you see it from the front. But the sound fills the whole living room.
SA Silverback 1 is a new member of the award-winning Silverback family. It is created for music lovers looking for great sound experiences, without having large speakers in the living room.
That's how small it is. The sound (on the other hand) fills the entire room. We'll get back to that.
Because the most striking thing about SA Silverback 1 is how incredibly discreet it is, although the amazing sound quality will probably surprise you the most.
The sculptural design is created to fit into your home, without demanding too much attention.
Connectivity
The base model comes with active connections (power cable) per speaker as well as RCA connection options. This allows you to connect a pre-amp or streamer directly to the Speaker.
The Wireless Hub option gives you a wide range of connectivity options including HDMI, Optical, Coaxial and RCA in giving you a complete wireless streaming solution for a wide range of connectivity requirements.
Can be placed anywhere

Uses the law of acoustics to its advantage
SA Silverback 1 is made for placement near a wall. Special acoustic conditions apply near walls and speakers need to be built for that location to sound perfect. Silverback 1 uses the laws of acoustics and digital technology to its advantage and achieves a perfectly balanced soundscape when placed near a wall.
And the sound…
The first thing people notice about Silverback 1 is the amazing and pleasant bass. The sound is rich and warm, even when playing at low volume. This is due to the specially designed woofers and their perfect match with the built-in amplifiers. It sounds like a much bigger speaker and we're especially proud of its inviting musicality.
The next thing that surprises many music lovers is the speaker's ability to bring vocals to life and how the sound of any instrument becomes clear and detailed. SA Silverback 1 is a 100% digital speaker that is built without the use of passive components that can make the sound unclear and muddy in conventional speakers. Therefore, it creates a different and immersive experience.
The tweeter's patented acoustic lens covers the living room with sound, so you hear all the nuances of the sound, no matter where you are in the room.
It can play surprisingly loud considering how small it is. But the built-in digital processors monitor and protect the speaker from overload, so you only have to think about what song you want to hear next.
Class D amplifier
There are two 80 Watt Class D amplifiers in each speaker and the frequency response is 45Hz to 25 KHz. Connection is via WIFI or line-in. Class D amplifiers are digital right up to the drivers. As a result, no noise can enter the system. Moreover, Class D amplifiers are close to 90% efficient.
Hence they are often used for active speakers where space is at a premium. Class D uses less power and generates less heat than conventional linear amplifiers. The output signal is made up of a set of high-frequency pulses, this is known as Pulse Code Modulation (PCM). MOSFET transistors are used on the output. Notably, these can switch at high frequencies. The unit uses less than 2 Watts in standby.
Why wireless speakers?
Wireless speakers such as the Silverback 1 Wireless On Wall Speakers from System Audio, are designed to make streaming music easier, without trailing cables. They have built-in amplifiers so that the only thing you need is a power cable.
They connect to your devices via WIFI and are WiSA certified meaning that they can receive hi-res audio with no loss of quality. However, System Audio also has a control hub that lets you connect your existing components, and send the audio to wireless speakers.

We are an approved retailer for all brands sold on our website, which means full manufacturers warranty and support as well as detailed product knowledge within our small business.
We use an inventory tracking system which states if item(s) are in stock and if not, what are the likely lead times.
Who do you use for delivery?
Our primary delivery agent is DPD. Where orders are shipped directly from Yorkshire AV, we always use DPD who offer a fabulous service at competitive rates.
If we drop ship (i.e. direct from the supplier) then the delivery agent is out of our control. It is generally DPD or UPS however - we rarely see other carriers used.
Selecting "Next Day" delivery does not mean you'll receive your item the next day in some cases. It's the next day from when the item(s) are in stock with us. If there is an urgent need then please contact a member of staff via the Live Chat or telephone (01757 826111) to check on live stock levels.
Certain product(s) are delayed in manufacturing due to semi-conductor shortages across the Globe. We'll keep you informed as to your order progress and a likely ETA once we get updates from the manufacturers.
Returns
Standard Returns
Our returns policy lasts for 28 days for all items in our store except those defined in section (1) below.
To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused/unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
If you return the item to us within 14 days of purchasing, you will be offered a full refund or exchange. If your return comes to us after 14 days of purchasing and is opened, we will refund the full amount less 20%. Unused items returned up to 28 days after purchasing will be fully refunded.
It's the responsibility of the customer to return the items at your cost. Yorkshire AV are able to arrange collection - please contact us for a quote.
You must ensure goods are shipped in their original packaging if they are damaged/not working. Manufacturers will not accept returns and Yorkshire AV can not be held responsible for any damage in transit.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned.

- Second hand units / clearance products
- Headphones (due to listener hygiene)

- Special order items (items that we order in for you/were not in stock at the time of order)

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Items that have been opened will be listed on our "Clearance" section. We charge a 20% fee from the total item value which will be deducted from any refund amount applicable.
If your returns are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 2-3 days. Costs of shipping will be deducted from any refund amount.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Warranty
By default, our brands follow their standard manufacturers warranty terms and length.
For extended Warranty (should this be offered with your product), please ensure you complete the Extended Warranty registration form that was emailed to you.
Warranty claims within the warranty period are underpinned by the manufacturer. With any extended warranty claims - Yorkshire AV act as your agent to the authorised repair centre.
Shipping charges are excluded from any warranty claim. Original packaging and receipts must be provided else the claim will be rejected.
