PRODUCT DETAILS 

The OBERON ON-WALL is a powerful on-wall speaker with a slim and discreet design. Despite its compact size, the on-wall speaker will render audio like a much larger model, due to its combination of technologies. The slim profile of the speakers makes it easy to integrate into any room.

We have united the best elements from our current speakers and brought them together in the OBERON ON-WALL to deliver on audio quality, looks and versatility. The OBERON ON-WALL houses an oversized 29 mm soft dome tweeter together with a 5.25" SMC based wood fibre woofer - supported by a unique down-firing bass port design, which lets the OBERON ON-WALL use the wall to extend the bass performance. For this reason, it's the perfect choice for both stereo and surround setups. 

To achieve a wide dispersion pattern in the listening area, the driver materials and geometry applied have been carefully selected. The same principles have been applied in the design of the crossover. As result, you will experience a well-integrated sound, even when listening at a significant off-axis angle. This is important as you are rarely seated directly in front of your loudspeakers when listening to music. An added benefit is seriously reduced harmonic distortion and diffractions causing frequency distortion, as these will always be stronger in an on-axis response. This is also the reason why all DALI loudspeakers are not designed to be toed-in.

WOOFER

The SMC based 5.25" wood fibre woofer used in the OBERON ON-WALL has been optimised with a new wood fibre structured cone. It is dedicated to reproduce the delicate midrange and bass frequency area. It is constructed from a blend of fine grain paper pulp and reinforced with wood fibres, which creates a stiff, light-weight and well-behaving structure - like every other driver made by DALI.

In combination with a low-loss surround and spider suspension, the wood fibre cone reproduces the micro details in the signal - unfiltered and with high accuracy.

TWEETER

DALI has specifically developed the oversized 29 mm ultra-lightweight soft dome tweeter for the OBERON series - including the OBERON ON-WALL - combining well proven technologies from our existing DALI ranges with new features.

The large size of the membrane lets the tweeter generate higher sound pressure with less excursion, keeping the voice coil motion to a precise minimum.

The oversized 29 mm membrane is constructed based on an ultra-light wave weave fabric and is additionally optimised for a larger bandwidth in its lower frequency area. This ensures the optimal handover from the midrange woofer to the tweeter, creating a well-balanced, unforced and very coherent upper midrange. Compared to most soft dome tweeters in the market, the DALI dome material is less than half the weight (0.060 mg/mm2).

The tweeter front plate near the dome has been designed with similar geometry as the OPTICON and RUBICON tweeters to create the optimal working conditions for the soft dome. The aim is to combine an extended frequency response with wide dispersion and low coloration.

BASS PORT

With its unique bass port design the OBERON ON-WALL takes the use of the rear wall to a whole new level.

This on-wall speaker uses the port design, which was originally introduced with the DALI RUBICON LCR. The OBERON ON-WALL bass ports fire downwards and allows the ports and the wall to work together to extend the bass reproduction far beyond what should be possible from such a compact cabinet.

CABINET

The cabinet construction of the OBERON ON-WALL is composed from high-density CNC machined MDF board - dressed in carefully selected high-grade vinyl. The very rigid construction of the on-wall speaker cabinet is due to solid bracings across the inside of the cabinet for reinforcement. This improves the stiffness and practically eliminates resonance within the cabinet.

The OBERON ON-WALL takes the use of the rear wall to a whole new level. Using the unique port design originally introduced with the DALI RUBICON LCR, the OBERON ON-WALL bass ports fire downwards, letting the ports and the wall work together to extend the bass reproduction far beyond what should be possible from such a compact cabinet.

Items are posted Tuesday - Friday with DPD or other couriers (based on the item size/weight). Certain items are shipped as freight if over 30kg and may take 2-3 days to be delivered. Please contact us to confirm stock availability and shipping leadtimes.

Our cut-off for same day dispatch of in-stock products is 1pm. Collection in store may be available if stock isn't in our central warehouse.

Returns

Our returns policy lasts for 28 days for all items in our store except those defined in section (1) below.

To be eligible for a refund, your item must be unused/unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

If you return the item to us within 14 days of purchasing, you will be offered a full refund or exchange. If your return comes to us after 14 days of purchasing and is opened, we will refund the full amount less 20%. Unused items returned up to 28 days after purchasing will be fully refunded.

You must ensure goods are shipped in their original packaging if they are damaged/not working. Manufacturers will not accept returns and Yorkshire AV can not be held responsible for any damage in transit.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Those that are bespoke items or those that we've had to request in for you.
