Yorkshire AV are now Ortofon dealers

Great news from Yorkshire AV this weekend - we've been approved as Ortofon resellers to complement our turntable and HiFi sales.

Not only does this mean we can demo and sell this fantastic brand, it also means our turntables can be upgraded in house before being dispatched, all whilst bringing exceptional value to you! We'll also be introducing servicing and maintenance in our workshop once the COVID-19 lockdown is over.

We're carrying stock of the 2M stylus and cartridges as well as Quintet at this time but will be offering the high end cartridges as the year progresses.

Axel Petersen (1887-1971) and Arnold Poulsen (1889-1952) founded the Electrical Phono Film Company with a few capable and foresighted businessmen who would support the organization financially. Their aim was to explore the possibility of high-class recording and developing one of the first synchronized sound film systems in the world. Under primitive conditions, the two Danish engineers and their small staff had to solve a number of what were considered insuperable problems.
