November News & Lockdown update

As you are probably already aware, the UK Government announced on Saturday evening plans for a new four-week lockdown in England which again is forcing non-essential retail to temporarily close on Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December, as part of the national effort to decrease COVID-19 case numbers. 

After many weeks of planning during April and May, Yorkshire AV have been safely supplying our customers with their AV equipment and designs throughout the summer and have delivered over 2000 orders in a COVID-Secure manner.

Moving forward, the Government is continuing to allow nonessential retail to operate online systems and delivery services which allows our customers to place orders online and/or call our COVID safe staff. We are here to support you as best as we can! Our suppliers have all confirmed they're continuing to work and supply - though as usual, lead times may increase from 1-2 days that we're currently operating today.

AudioQuest 8K/10K HDMI cables available to order

If you've moving to the world of 8K or 4K/120Hz, you're going to need an AV Receiver and cabling that support these new configurations.

And finally....

Tomorrow marks a new chapter for Yorkshire AV - despite everything going on in the world right now, we've taken the plunge and are moving into our new sales office and demonstration suite in our village in Whitley, North Yorkshire.

The process will likely take 10-12 weeks (subject to COVID, trades being able to attend site, materials being available and running the business at the same time etc) for us to get the place ready but we're going at this at pace to bring a fantastic environment for our customers new and old to enjoy 2 channel music demonstrations as well as a dedicated home theatre.

We want our customers to get hands on with the equipment we sell as we know this can be a critical deciding factor when investing in something totally new or to replace something you already have.

We'll also be able to hold a lot more stock and with the store, bring new brands to you(more on this soon!).For now - we've started the design process of the dedicated theatre room which will be a large 6x6 area, custom built around the requirements of the avid movie lover and showcasing the best of what we have to offer.

The room will also have other uses - i.e. the ability to demo free standing setups (i.e. the DALI Oberon 5.1, the Q Acoustics 3000i 5.1 etc) using either high performance cinema processors and power amplifiers or more common integrated AVR's such as the Denon 3700 or the Marantz 6015 etc.
